Laura O’Mahony links industry and the third sector with leading social science experts to drive social purpose initiatives that create body confidence, well-being, and more equitable societies. As Head of Partnerships at EVERYBODY Consulting, they work across a portfolio of projects with powerhouse brands and organisations like Dove, Nike, Meta, and NHS England.
In a former life, she was a professional athlete before going on to gain a degree in Sports Science and spending over a decade in business development, sales and partnership roles across health, sport, and property industries. With an entrepreneurial spirit, she is driven by her core values of social justice, empathy, and freedom, and has a laser sharp focus on results, future trends and getting the best outcome for all stakeholders.
Dr Emily Matheson
CLINICAL & PROJECT SPECIALIST &
ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT
Australian born and living in New York City, Dr Matheson is passionate about helping people to feel at home in their bodies, so they can connect with the world around them. With a PhD in Clinical Psychology, she uses evidence-based techniques to understand and improve mental health and well-being among young people and adults.
Emily has a stellar track record for leading large-scale, international body image research and consultancy collaborations between industry and academia. She’s known for the development and evaluation of innovative well-being tools for digital landscapes and in-person communities.
Dr Yi Wu
ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT
Dr Yi Wu is an experienced cross-cultural researcher and counsellor. After growing up in China and studying psychology in the UK and Netherlands, including a PhD from Maastricht University, she has worked on research and consultancy projects across China and Europe. Yi combines her deep passion for psychology and academia with her personal experiences of overcoming childhood body image concerns to conduct research that is culturally sensitive, empathetic, and designed for real world impact.
Recent projects include the investigation of cosmetic surgery intentions and support interventions for women, the impact of social media on well-being, girls’ attitudes towards sport, and the development and validation of reliable ways to measure body image. Her research has been widely publicised in academic journals and international news outlets.
Ms Aline Tinoco
ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT
A Mexico City native, Ms Aline Tinoco is a public health expert, academic and dietitian. She is passionate about promoting a holistic approach to girls’ and women’s health and well-being. Alongside consulting, she is a Research Associate at the Centre for Appearance Research, University of the West of England. Her ambition is to create platforms, policies and strategies for girls and women in Mexico and Latin America to help them express their concerns and realise their hopes for a more inclusive society.
With over a decade of experience working with underserved communities in Mexico and internationally on projects spanning body image, maternal health, menstruation and child labour, her past clients and collaborators include Oxfam, UNICEF, Dove, Nike, Save the Children and Action Against Hunger.
Professor Ayu Saraswati

Dr Saraswati is an immigrant woman of color, award-winning author, and Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa.
Ayu is an advocate for the wellbeing of girls and women of Southeast Asia, and attributes her lived experience as a beauty pageant winner as the catalyst for pursuing a research career in body image, media representation, and women’s issues. She is an esteemed author, with numerous publications spanning academia and mainstream media on the sociocultural pressures faced by Southeast Asian women.
Professor Fiona Kate Barlow

Dr Fiona Kate Barlow is a Professor in Social Psychology at The University of Queensland, Australia. She is a leading international expert in the field of prejudice and discrimination, with a particular focus on how injustice and representation can affect the mental health and well-being of minority groups.
Fiona has gained recognition for her work into the body image and mental health experiences of ‘invisible’ communities, including mid-life women, older adults and sexual minorities. She is recognised by the Australian Research Council as a Future Fellow, and regularly works with governments, media and nonprofits to create more equitable societies.
Dr Megha Dhillon

Living in New Delhi, Dr Megha Dhillon is a Professor of Psychology at Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. Her visionary perspective and track record has earned her the reputation of being the leading body image and mental health expert in India.
She is passionate about upskilling young people with mental health literacy, and challenging gender and social norms that perpetuate limiting stereotypes. She is also known for her ability to translate and adapt evidence-based techniques across cultures.
Dr Kholisah Nasution
ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT
Dr Nasution is a pediatrician and public health practitioner at the Palabuhanratu General Hospital, West Java, Indonesia. Public health has been her passion since medical school, which is reflected in her vast research experience, including body image, nutrition, adolescent health, and cancer.
Kholisah is an expert into adolescent health and well-being in south-east Asia, including the development of strategies to enhance mental health. She recently moved from Jakarta to a fishing town, where she provides healthcare to children and adolescents.
Dr Jessica Alleva

Canadian born, Dr Alleva lives in the Netherlands, where she is the leading body image researcher at Maastricht University. With a PhD in Psychology, she’s pioneered new ways of thinking about how we enhance our relationships with our bodies.
Dr Alleva’s work has impacted people across the globe, particularly underrepresented and underserved groups. This includes working with gender diverse individuals, those living with chronic illness, and pregnant and postpartum women. She’s an Associate Editor at the leading academic journal Body Image and a writer for Psychology Today.
Dr Nadia Craddock

Born and raised in South East London, Dr Nadia Craddock is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Appearance Research in Bristol. With a PhD in Psychology, she is fast becoming the leading expert in harnessing the power of big business to leverage global change in body image and appearance diversity.
Nadia is internationally recognised for her community outreach and engagement, and giving a voice to often vulnerable and underrepresented populations. She is the host of two esteemed podcasts that connect and educate listeners on the topics of body image, eating disorders and mental health.
